The Lamerton Awards are named in honour of Diane and the late Robert Lamerton, two of the founding members of Tea Tree Players in 1976. These awards celebrate excellence in our productions and are unique in that they are entirely nominated by you—our audience.

Nominations are open for the following categories:

– Best Director

– Best Set Design

– Best Actor in a Female Major Role

– Best Actor in a Male Major Role

– Best Actor in a Female Supporting Role

– Best Actor in a Male Supporting Role

In addition to these categories, the President presents a special annual award to recognise a volunteer who has demonstrated exceptional dedication and contribution to Tea Tree Players—the prestigious President’s Award.

Each year, we host a BBQ event to express our gratitude to our volunteers for their time, dedication, and invaluable support. This event is also an opportunity to thank our audience for their continued encouragement and to celebrate the winners of the Lamerton Awards, as chosen by you!
